about
mister bipolarbeats seems to have made and releasing an entire album inadvertently... well, a compilation album, nevertheless a full length album, and in collaboration with other musicians and remixing artists from the divine catalogue of wonders in london. if i remember correctly this kind of collaboration comes from more than one year ago when we sit down on our laptops to compose mashups that led, one way or the other to the creation of a demo called ‘lithium’, by bipolarbeats and eerohz. some other followed but the one who springs to mind is the infamous ‘luciano berio’s chair’, an old favourite on soundcloud. then bipolarbeats collaborated on the first ever catalogue of wonders release, ‘fables against gravity’ (cata1.) he contributed with a fabulous track that forecasted wonders to come and his superb handling of samples and sense of rhythm/beat. on this first track being released, yes, he easily showed his affection and delight of his vinyl junky mania. the track is/was ‘the bubble in the bong’ (also known as ‘the bubble of the bong’.) several re-works are present here on the ‘art of lithium...’
the collaborations continued and eerohz re-made ‘warning: i forgot my medication’, what would be known as the babylon 6 remix (space station built after the disappearance of babylon 5 in hyperspace!) another soundcloud favourite is ‘the crack of the can’ here re-worked by de-luxuria. one day, on a birthday, we received ‘the catalogue of wonders’ composition as a present to us, and joy and champagne was flowing abundantly. so we returned to it in several fashions, more than three if you care to buy the album with the extras!) for the second compilation of the catalogue of wonders bipolarbeats composed the cinematic ‘kia kaha tracey’ here laced with ‘machina obscura’ of label mates kalliban x. finally the ‘bipolarised intro’ is a mashup of all the tracks in the album in condensed form.
